I don't know why, and I can't explain it, but I've had recurring dreams of being on, near something called 'Carpethia'..and in my dream is not just the name, but a very small beach of which i lay and know but don't care, that waves always come and wash away everything on beach. and if one lies there during 'this wave', one will certainly drown, not being able to swim against the forceful currant. In my dream, I not only know the name 'Carpethia', but I also know that I am in peril as I lie and wait and watch the wave swiftly approaching me. I am swept away into the current..but I never know if I die or not...

I have no idea what all this means and why it is recurring...that specificf name 'Carpethia' and the ocean waves, and death...

Thanks for your interest. The letters are fictional written my me, Dave Olson. I haven't written a part two yet and the note to readers alludes to Henri's fate. You can learn more about LfR at this podcast interview on Santa Cruz free radio. I also produced paintings to go along the letters which i wrote by hand in the summer of 2004 and bundled into a book made of wood and hemp. Wondering what to do with the project next.

I am very interested in your 'Letters from Russia'. It sounds terrific. Is this fictional or non-fiction? Based on Fact?

I know people that are trying to find out what this town actually looks and feels like because their ancestors came from this town in Russia.

How do I receive updates from you?

Thank You
Linda In NC

Hi,
These are great letters. Where'd you get them from? I am researching the war of 1812 for a school essay and am finding it very hard to come across any actual letters and so any information about your sources would be appreciated. My e-mail's lp_adam93 {at} hotmail {dot} co {dot} uk.
Thanks,
Adam Carter
